APPLICATION PROCESS
The Scholars Edge Management Program is one of those rare summer opportunities where you don’t need business experience to apply, but can be guaranteed an incredible learning opportunity and a rewarding experience. To be a successful student operator with our program you simply need to be motivated, willing to work hard and ready to take on a challenge. If that sounds like you, we hope you’ll apply.
Every Scholars Edge Operator needs to have access to a vehicle in the preseason and must be available to work all summer (i.e. no summer school, major vacations). Production vehicle fully set up with equipment is provided in the summer.
Here’s a run down on the application process:
Step 1 - Attend an Information Session
Find out more about the Scholars Edge Management Program at one of our information sessions held at universities and colleges throughout western Canada. If you can't make one of these sessions one of our campus reps will happily meet you for a coffee on campus. These sessions are typically run between September and February. Contact Us to find a session near you.
Step 2– Application and Second Information Meeting
For this meeting to take place we ask that you have completed "Step Two" of the application process found on this website. This is your chance to ask us your questions and for us to get to know you a little better. It is from this meeting that we determine if you are eligible for an official interview.
Step 3 – Final Interview and Essay Questions
This is a formal one-on-one interview with the District Manager. We will get more in-depth about your goals, as well as discuss our commitments and expectations.
Step 4 - You’re hired!
If we think you are the right fit for the Scholars Edge Management Program, our District Manager will call you to welcome you to the team and tell you about the next steps.
If you are interested in a painting job (not a Branch Manager position), please contact us and we will direct you to the closest Scholars Edge Branch.

"I heartily recommend the Summer Edge Program. Over my two summers I managed my own business, hired and managed employees and learned a ton while earning money and having a great time. The management experience I gained in the program propelled my career and gave me experiences I could have never imagined."
